Rox delivered another wicked custom Cat, this time a CFR 800 with a Sno Pro seat and a 128-in. track. Look for a full-blown feature on this here at AI in the near future.
Arctic Cat VP of Engineering Roger Skime (left) and Jeremy Houle from Speedwerx discuss the prototype Speedwerx 730cc Big Bore Kit for the Sno Pro 500. Here’s another future AI story.
The Arctic Cat booth was packed all day. No big unveilings this year, but plenty of conversations with Cat engineers.
A couple Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders brought good vibes to the Cat booth. There was no official sighting of Brett Favre.
This custom limo Cat was on display at the VSCA booth. I estimate the value of this original fabric seat to be more that $1,500 alone.
Other seats were quite so attractive, or valuable.
You never know what kind of goodies you’ll see being bought, sold and otherwise hauled around the swap meet.
I’m considering a run at next year’s Tour de France aboard this vintage Arctic Cat bicycle.
These beauties were bought from vintage Cat guru Jeff Johnson. The new owner? None other than Pat Mach, owner of USCC Racing and a fully-certified vintage nut.
What would Haydays be without some grass, er, clay drags? Although the Firecats are still kicking tail, there were WAY more 4-strokes being raced this year. Hmmm…
A special trailer in the Arctic Cat compound featured four flatscreen monitors, each with prototype snowmobile illustration. People were encouraged to take a survey about each drawing and rank their favorite, which Arctic Cat will presumably consider for their next generation snowmobile.
Tucker Hibbert would have had a lot of good things to say about ArcticInsider.com, if only…
This site Rox from top to bottom. Huge fan upon my first visit and am planning to come back tomorrow. BTY do you deliver dooonuts?? super hungry right now.
Mmmmmm…donuts.

The guy wanted $300 bucks for it…way too expensive for my Tour de France attempt. Joe: will you be here all week?
Yak se mas from New Prague! : )
Great website! Just signed up yesterday.
John, can you post pictures of the conceptual renderings, of the future possibilities of Arctic cat sleds that were shown up at Hay Days?
Thanks!
Todd Ulschmid
Todd – glad you found this place. I’m working on a story where we’ll MAYBE be able to post some concept drawings. As you can imagine, Cat is VERY concerned about allowing downloadable/copyable images anywhere.
Ah, you’re killing me….
Drive north of Carborro on Old 86 for about 10 minutes and you’ll see it on the left I think. It’s shrltoy before the Zen Meditation Center, which may be related stop in there and ask of they know anything about it. I’d love to know more of the history if you find anything out!!
