2010 Sno Pro 500 Reflash

2010 Sno Pro 500 ECU

For those of you with a 2010 Arctic Cat Sno Pro 500, it looks like a reflash is coming your way, free of charge, to improve its low-RPM drivability.

Below is copy of the letter Arctic Cat sent to its dealers.

July 12, 2010

Dear Arctic Cat Snowmobile Owner,

RE: 2010 Sno Pro 500

Our records indicate that you are a registered owner of at least one of the affected snowmobiles.

It has been determined that driving the affected model at low RPM does not meet Arctic Cat standards and/or expectations and needs to be updated.

Please take your snowmobile to an authorized Arctic Cat snowmobile dealer as soon as possible to have the dealer reprogram the Engine Control Unit (ECU). Once the ECU has been reprogrammed, the dealer will adhere a decal to the existing ECU showing the ECU has been updated.

The repair should be completed the same day you bring your snowmobile(s) into the dealer. Affected snowmobiles are eligible for the stated repair from the date of this letter forward.

This service work will be done at no charge to you. If you have sold the affected snowmobile, please complete and and return the self-addressed card.

To ensure your full protection under the emission warranty on your engine by federal law, we recommend you have the above mentioned service done as soon as possible. If you do not have the ECU reprogrammed, Arctic Cat may consider this to be improper maintenance.

If you have any difficulty in obtaining service or repairs regarding this issue, call Arctic Cat at 1-800-279-6851.

Sincerely,

Product Service and Warranty Department
