F Series
With the excellent balance of high-hp and a longer 15 x 144 x 1.25-in. track, the Z1 Turbo EXT was surprise hit on the 2010 line. Arctic Cat has responded by adding an F 8 EXT for 2011. The adjustable IRP “trail” handlebar suggests that this is more of a trail sled than a cross-over.
Joining the F8 LXR and F8 Sno Pro for 2011 is the F8 Sno Pro Limited, which adds these extras to the package: handguards; rear storage bag; sport front bumper; electric start; and Sublime Green paint scheme.
An F6 Sno Pro, F5LXR and F 570 complete the F Series lineup. With the exception of the F 570 and F8 EXT, all 2011 F Series models are either in Sno Pro or LXR trim.
CFR No changes to the CFR 8 or CFR 1000 for 2011.
Sno Pro 500
Back for its second year, this over-achiever gets a few changes aimed to keep its retail cost low while the fun-factor is high. It will come without a hood-mounted brake duct, swaybar and tunnel edge grip plates, the latter two available as accessory items. As many racers opted for the faster 1-in. lug Hacksaw track this season, Cat has switched to it as a production hoop. And finally, a switch 5.5-in. wide plastic skis satisfies all states’ maximum ski stance rules.
Z1 4-Stroke
The mystery machine in this thread provided a lot of speculation. It turned out to be the new-for-2011 Z1 Turbo Sno Pro Limited, which takes the Sno Pro spec Fox Floats/low windshield/taller handlebar riser, and adds handguards, rear storage bag, sport front bumper, electric-heated seat and the distinctive Sublime Green paint.
The Z1 Turbo Sno Pro and Z1 Turbo LXR returned unchanged for 2011, save for a higher windshield on the LXR.
A huge hit last season, the Z1 Turbo EXT returns for 2011 with an electric-heated IRP adjustable seat.
The non-turbo Z1 LXR and Z1 Sno Pro are unchanged for next season.
Crossfire
Two versions of a spring-only Crossfire 8 Sno Pro Limited will be available, both with the lightweight/tall M Series seat; handguards; rear storage bag, Fox Float shocks on both ends;; adjustable telescoping handlebars; and Sublime Green paint. One version gets a 15 x 141 x 1.5-in. track with 60/60 gearing that leans more for trail use, the other version getting a 15 x 141 x 2.25-in. track and 57/63 gearing for more mountain performance.
It’s joined by a Crossfire 8 Sno Pro (Fox Floats, telescoping handlebars, 1.5-in. lug track) and a standard Crossfire 8 (which now features a coil-over Fox Zero Pro shock on the rear suspension that eliminates the two torsion springs to save weight).
Crossfire 6 gets a Fox Zero Pro shock with coil-over spring in the rear arm of the rear suspension, replacing the two torsion springs to save weight without sacrificing ride quality.
M Series
Arctic Cat indicates significant improvement to the ride calibration of their 2011 M Series Sno Pro and HCR models, benefiting both hill climbing ability and on-trail manners.
The M8 HCR keeps its 15 x 153 x 2.25-in. Power Claw track, but gets the longer 162-in. rear tunnel extension to accommodate the additional clearance required by certain traction mods. Other changes include spacers to stiffen the rear idler wheels, swapping a tether cord for the key switch, and additional protection to the rear coolant hoses.
The standard M8 transitions to a coil-over Fox Zero Pro shock on the rear arm, eliminating the torsion springs to deliver a lighter package without a sacrifice in ride quality.
Joining the M8 and M8 Sno Pro for 2011 is the M8 Sno Pro Limited, with extra goodies like handguards; BCA Backpack; ice scratchers; handlebar bag; goggle holder; 153-in. track; rear storage bag; and Sublime Green coloring.
No changes to the M1000 Sno Pro for 2011.
The M6 also comes with Fox Zero Pro shocks with coil-over springs on the rear arm, eliminating the two torsion springs for reduced weight without sacrificing ride quality.
Touring
Little has changed in the Touring category for 2011, with only graphics changes on the trio of TZ1 models and on the T570.
Bearcat
New for 2011 is a spring-order only Bearcat Z1 XT Limited featuring a heated driver seat; 3rd row seat; engine heater and rear storage bag. Like the “standard” Bearcat Z1 XT, it also gets a 20 x 154 x 1.38-in. Ripsaw track.
The Bearcat 570 gets a 2-up riding focus to complement its utility focus, with a new rear passenger seat, footrests and fiberglass overload springs along with standard electric start.
Likewise, the Bearcat 570 XT gets a 20 x 154 x 1.38-in. Ripsaw track that has deeper lugs and is 9 lbs. lighter than the previous track.

Just refining the best lineup on snow. Hoping for a new M chassis in 2012 though
well no new plastic on twinspar and no diet. sorry guys looks like one more year for our ageing fleet of firecats. lets just make the new bump 8 worth the wait. just remember when you buld it thay will come!!
Still the best sleds on the snow. Wait til next year….
What does BNG stand for?
Looks like 2012 will be the big year. I’m glad I grabbed a SP500 before they de-contented it.
Hello Ski-Doo….Is Arctic Cat trying to lose customers?!?
Hey Arctic Insider,
Being a loyal cat rider since I began riding sleds many moons ago, could you please give us some inside information regarding the philosophy of not doing anything to the lineup this year?? Does AC really believe this is what we wanted to see for 2011? Who’s in charge up there? Can we translate some racing excitement to the consumer please? I think AC needs a very good explanation for this. The sad part is by the time they put a new motor in the SP chassis, it’ll be old news. They totally missed the boat. As an AC diehard, I’m beyond dissappointed!
Read my speculation story… I believe the answers to your questions are that Cat will celebrate their 50th anniversary in a big way. BNG = Bold New Graphics.
Everyone complaining must be one hell of a rider to want even more than the current chassis’s have to offer….It’s a solid line up. 2012 is a big year for AC.
The othe mfg’s are pretty much sitting on there hands, too. Ski-Doo 800 E-tec for
spring only orders. That was no surprise….Polaris RUSH. Well, it’s trying to make a positive name for itself. It’s failed miserably on the cross country racing circuit. The “new” RMK chassis is pretty impressive on paper. Yet to prove itself. The Polaris 800 mote is struggling with it’s own gremlins. Yamaha, well I guess if power steering floats your boat, go for it. Cat has a pretty solid, refined, line up. Does it excite people? Time will tell. If, its time for a new sled, why wouldn’t you consider CAt, again?
I just switched to Cat and I think I’m here for the long haul. Guys I ride with still love their Crossfires. SP500 works great for me and I don’t think I’ll ever out grow that 500 motor with its low end acceleration. I could never afford a Polaris IQ600RR, Rev XRS600 or XP-XRS600 (or really need that much motor for the tighter riding I do), so SP500 chassis/suspension was a deal. F570 or F5 in 2011 to replace my old Rev 380F for the wife and we’ll be set. I have no reason to go Doo, Polaris or Yamaha in 2011. Other than the 800 E-Tec Doo didn’t change as much as the smoke and mirrors make you think. 2012 should be cool year for Cat though. Much better than what ended up being pretty boring from Ski Doo for their 50th, a retro graphics package on a few limited edition sleds.
I can’t believe they updated the website for that release. All they had to do was add 2 sleds and done. All time record low sales on their way.
I’m expecting a teaser at HayDays to show what is coming for 2012 from Cat. Cat won’t let us down. They are just getting rid of the aged iron that is left this year. Cat is showing a good poker face……
ZR67 they have been showing that poker face for 3 years and they keep getting beat out by a pair of 2’s
First- if you are as “smart” as you think you are. Sign your name.
Had a chance to ride with a number of engineers from Cat in the month of February- they are going in the right direction. I had a number of my questions answered. Respectful questions…
Cat is doing nothing more than following the trend that every ‘wise’ manufacturer should follow in times where our disposable income has taken a hit (aka. the money we put aside for toys). Lean the inventory, lower the overhead… put your money where it should be- R ‘n D. We all need to think more like business owners and less like keyboard racers. To us its a hobby… to them it’s a lively hood.
I500 win… Soo 500… Countless wins on the SnoX track. Come on… if ‘what wins on Sunday sells on Monday’ were actually true. We’d all be on Cats.
John- Great speach at the HOF dinner. I tried to track you down after to talk SP set ups. Didnt happen.
All you “die hard Arctic Cat guys” who threaten to buy brand X because of this year’s lineup are victims of your own ego. What exactly do you need to see, before the sleds you can’t afford to buy are good enough for you? It’s been established that this year was an awesome racing season for Cat and they made good sales. Why not stick with what works and make ’12 the year for big changes (like everyone has been expecting for quite some time I might add)? Get over yourselves. Anyone who is seriously in the market for a sled and does their homework will find these machines desirable. The rest will buy junk and love it, and that’s fine too.
Replying to Ryan Teach…You call it “lean inventory”, I’ve been calling it “the year of the backorder”………….. Replying to Jason….I’ve had 3 F6’s and they all get 10 MPG and I want better. I bought a NEW 500 Snopro, great for some things, not so great for others. I don’t have an “ego” problem, in fact I love the Twin Spar. My problem is finding a sled for my wife. She loved how light feeling and easy steering the 500 Snopro was, if it had the comforts of a trail sled she would love it. That leads me to believe the XP 600 E-tec would suit her perfect. What does Cat have to compete with that?? Do I want to buy a Skidoo?? Absolutely not, but it may happen……. Signed, SERIOUSLY IN THE MARKET & HOMEWORK IN PROGRESS
I broke my rear suspension today in my 08 F10 and went to the dealer to order the parts and asked when they will be in, was told August 3rd.. same thing happened to me last year in Feb.. could not ride my sled at all last march because of back ordered parts, can not ride my sled at all this march becasue of back ordered parts.
Paid 12,000 dollars for this machine in the fall of 07. If they had told me that getting parts would be a problem I would not have bought the machine.
This is a very serious, serious, serious, serious serious, serious, serious situation for me.. I am NOT happy.
Now I am going thru the process of trying to scrounge up used parts, have pieces custom made, etc.. it is going to cost me a lot of time to fix this..
I am trying to figure out how to explain my dis-pleasure with this situation and am at a loss for words.
I wish Arctic Cat at least came out with a 600 EFI motor for the snopro chassis for 2011!
Being in business for myself with the present economy I have put off spending on things that can wait until later in my business. I feel Arctic Cat is doing the same thing by waiting for ecomomy to get back on its feet. I would rather see them survive this slump, than see them end up like what happened to them back in the early 1980’s when I was a dealer. RickM
Looks to me that all AC is hanging their hat on for 2011 is a few graphic changes and an extended track on their “F” Series models. I understand this longer track is to help it go straighter down the trail. Let’s hope so. AC fans for years laughed at Polaris because every year they would say, “new and improved” and all they really did was change the graphics and names on their sleds. What was a XCR 600 one year was a different variation of an XLT the next year. Now it looks like AC is doing the same. I have not heard anything that AC improved their nasty oil and fuel consumption for 2011. I guess I will have to wait one more year for them to get it done.
I work first hand in the MRO and OEM fastener industry and am seeing it first hand by more than just Arctic Cat. People are simply running as lean as they can. Brain, I agree with you. Look at it this way…”Why show something that you have spend ‘loads’ of money on when people dont have the money to spend it!?” Dont look at what keyboard racers on here say… look at the balance sheets, Cats NOT doing that bad. Yes 4th, but I think thats one of the reasons I buy from them- root for the underdog. Come on! Some brands are like…well, noses for a lack of a better word… everyones got one! Whoopie! 2012 will be the year for Cat… And quote me now, it will NOT be an e-Tec direct injection knock off. Enjoy whats left of the snow, put the spit shine on the ol’ iron, or upgrade… and enjoy the fact that your “old”, “outdated”, iron will STILL be faster than whatever the other 3 bring out.
Well not sure what to tell all of you dissapointed cat riders, other than go buy your 600 or 800 etec. But make sure the money you save on gas you put in a coffee can if you decide to keep that sled once its out of warranty, because you’ll need that money to replace cranks and pistons.
dont get me wrong the twinspar is verry nice ! I love the way it rides.but for me i want something with a smaller ie not as wide seat. the chassis needs a diet!! i love my light firecat. and personaly the wide sides and headlights look verry verry bad. Now i was one of the first people to yell from the roof tops how fantastic the jag rode but not for a minit did i think we would not get a lighter and cooler looking version……But sadly we did not. im not going to buy a doo or anything dumb like that (i just rebult one for my brother in law bad rings broke you know. and the one before it windowed the whole engine) but i am waiting for a new light bump style 800 for both me and my wife. both our f7’s are about ready for a upgrade.(my daughter will not let me sell her 03 f5 sabor graphx model girls you know) I would be fine with a late release 800 but to not throw us a bone …..for that i am a little disapointed..I understand how the market is sooooo please please cat mack it worth the wait.
Man, i just don’t see the comparison between the Firecat F7 and the F-Series twin spar. In my experience, there is no comparison. Just the other night working out at the shop, we had to test drive a 06 F7. Derek wanted me to follow him with his new 2010 F8 HO. Sure! There is no comparison. The F8 is a far superior riding and handling sled. We were riding farely agressively and in the turns the F8 was all over the F7. He was hanging off the sled to get the F7 through the turns and I was driving effortlessly on the F8. The power of the 800 HO is impressive, to say the least! Holy crap, that sled hauls the mail! I can see why if you are a big mileage rider, you would want to ride a twin spar. Excellent riding and handling sled. For all the knocks it has taken for it’s weight over the past couple of seasons…You definitely don’t feel it when you are riding it. It steers effortlessly. A well balanced chassis.
I hope cat is not waiting around for the economy to fix itself..certainly the ceo understands that there is no fix to the current financial crisis in the USA and around the globe..
The only buisness that will survive this are the ones that restructure and adapt to this new world we live in…
The only way for a buisness to survive now is customer satisfaction, quality product, and retaining what ever customers they may have left and hopefully find new customers..
I think it is time for Artctic Cat to send out some surveys to all the people who have purchased 2007 and newer machines and find out what we think and how they really stack up as a company as far as the customers are concerned..
it is 45 degree’s out, the trails are groomed perfectly, not a cloud in the sky, the sun is shining bright, I’m on a week long snowmobile vacation and my emergency call to cat this morning did not produce satisfactory results for the parts I need for my 12,000 machine..
it is difficult to look at the possibility of a 2011 when the 2008 is not working properly and don’t have any support from the factory to make it work properly in a reasonable amount of time
very dis-appointed
Flintsone you are correct! You just said it, “The only business that will survive this are the ones that restructure and adapt to this new world we live in… “. Is Cat adapting by holding and further investing in R ‘n D until the 2012 release further evidence of adaptation? (rhetorical question) .And I am sorry my fellow cat brethren- we have all been there. Anything built by man, Ski Doo, Polaris, Yamaha, Arctic Cat, Toyota, GM, Ford, Honda…. will break. Murphy’s Law.
Flinestone…has your dealer contacted Arctic Cat’s special services for take off or used parts? Has he checked other dealers? Has he had Cat check what dealers ordered the most of what you need? Has he checked salvage yards? Are there aftermarket pieces that are built better. I work @ a Cat dealer and have done anything from service to parts to sales. Even continue to work with warranty situations with our customers. NO OTHER MANUFACTURER stands behind their product better than CAT! NO ONE! I can bore you with too many cases where they went beyond the warranty period to help a customer out. Pretty cool. Let me know what part and or part number you are looking for…and I will be more than happy to check for you. Good dealers are hard to find…Great dealers seem impossible to find…hope to help if possible. Good luck.
For those of you thinking of getting an E-Tec ski doo. I raced arctic cat’s and had a new 440 race sled every year from 1994 though 2002. I like to ride very hard when I ride. I could have gotten a 2009 600 sno pro race sled but didn’t because I didn’t realize they were going to have a cross country version also. I don’t like the looks of the twin spar chasis so I decided to buy a 2009 MXZ 600 E-Tec. I think they valved the suspension on it for a 130 lb. rider that never leaves the groomed trails. After I changed to heavier springs and revalved it several times it actually rides somewhat decent. Brakes were horrible until I finally switched to an aftermarket brake pad. Fuel milage is nowhere near what they said it would be. I get any where from 6.5 to 8.9 mpg on the fuel. Oil consumption has gotten a little better, but I have used 5 gallons already at 1875 miles. Oil consumption seems to match the belt consumption. I am on my 5th belt and everything is in spec. on the clutch alignment. The belts seem to want to explode at 400-500 miles on them. Gets expensive at $85 a piece. And add to that a couple broken plastic pieces in the rear suspension and you can see why I wish I had never bought that piece-o-crap. But thats just my experience with the 600 E-Tec. Motor does run nice though.
D-Rock- Hats off to the dealers. My father blew a belt on his ’09 Crossfire 800. The belt, after blowing, reached up and tore the servo cables off of the servo motors…and then destroyed the servo motors (no particular order). And, lucky us, we were rididng with a pack of over 10 Polaris sleds… you can imagine the crap we got being the only two Cat riders (me on my ’07/’08 F8). I called the dealer in Wisconsin we bought it from (first sled we picked up from them, ever)… left the hotel in the UP of Michigan at 10am, got to the dealer at 11:45am and they had the door open for us. I kid you not, at 12:45pm the sled was done! Total charge was $50.00 for the complete system revamp! $50.00… all new parts! Back on the trail the day after with the same group and it put a hurt on th ’09 Gade, and a serious hurt on the ’09 800 Dragon of the group. I will also add that my ’07 F8 put a serious hurt on the Dragon (I think my 600SP would have did the same thing) and would run sled-to-sled with the Gade.
There are some great dealerships still out there….I know. I work for one of them.
Good story on 2011 snow product line up at news@snowmobile.com. Sorry John, just need to pass on another story on the 2011 product line.
i really like the new line up.my 08 f10 sp is by far the best riding sled ive ever rode.had a few issues at the beggining my dealer took care of it.now the more i ride it the more i appreciate it.im 41 and have rode around 200 000 miles or so in my life, mostly on cats and some doos,oh and a couple yamis.cat has always had the best ride, best engines, best clutches, best service.except a few dealers.my current dealer in wabashene is a great place ,great service ,great bunch of people.i think cat has done the right thing with there new lineup, they are all great sleds.like my dad always says”what do you want jam on it?”meaning they give you the bread isnt that good enough.hard to satisfy some i guess.anyway i love my sled dont really need a new one but im ordering the new cuda turbo, love those stipes.maybe ill get some painted on my new ram to match.
Flintstone I am suppose to be riding a 2010 F5 I have 150 miles on it, it has never worked right. Bought it new Feb 4 took in in for service Feb 16 stilling waiting for parts back ordered to March 22. Defective Stator right from the factory
“bobst”……I’m curious. How about a breakdown on those 200,000 miles. If you started riding at only ten years old, and you’re currently 41, it means you’ve averaged 6,451 miles per year for 31 years. No offense, but I call B/S…… Mike
81snopro.. I have seen guys put over 12k on there sleds for the past 10 years in a row.. One being my neighbor
81 why you say somethin like that ?im not counting until i was twenty.ive done over 15000 miles some winters.we put 4,5,6 hundred a day there have been days where we put a thousand.hell i put 2000 this week and theres hardly any snow.isnt this a friendly post?actually i dont know what to say to you because we are on computor but if you were standing in front of me you wouldnt call me a bshiitr.just because you are a pencil and cant do the miles dosnt mean i cant.
I’m getting mine taken care of using used parts… to me this is the same as going to the junkyard to get parts for my brand new $50,000 truck.. but you do what ya gotta do.
Gid, i feel for ya man, that’s awful to have a 2010 down and out like that..
I gotta stay with cat for now though, cause nobody else makes a sled that will work for me but cat. I am totally up to speed with what is going on in the snowmobile world and cat is where it is at for my needs..
but they gotta get there act together in their parts dept. just becaue I keep forgiving them for back ordered parts after my rants doesn’t mean others will.
I don’t know about you guys but I can’t wait for 2012!!!haha
oh and my wife just informed me that she is in love with the 2011 ltd f8!! Only problem i see with that is country cat has 2010 F8’s listed at 8,000 right now!!!!
next person to complain or mention a bigger motor in the snopro chassis is admitting he wears womens clothes and rollerskates naked with a butternut sqaush up his ass . enough already , your giving us a headache !!!!!!!!
if a guy was to buy a 2011 race chassis and trail convert it could we expect to be able to get parts for it from cat in a reasonable amount of time or will it too be like the consumer sleds where stuff is on back order all the time? I would think getting parts for a race chassis would be a total nightmare?
flintstone: way easier than you think
Flintstone,
I have 1 2010 SP 600 and 2 2010 SP 500. Parts have not been a problem for the most part. The last time I ordered parts the only part that was on back order were the small springs that control the lateral motion of the skis. I was able to pick some up at the first dealer I called. I would NOT recommend converting a SP 600 sno X sled to a trail rider. It can be done but you will spend about $2000 to do it correctly. You would be much better off finding a SP 600 that is set up for cross country racing. It will have all the parts you need on it already, the only thing you will have to do is set up the shocks to your liking. The SP 500 is ready to ride right out of the box but you may want to adjust the shocks to your liking.
Most racers have a good idea what parts they will need each season and either have them on hand or have a source for them that can get them in a hurry.
Flintstone I was able to take a SnoX 600 to trail form within a smaller budget; use hardcore sledder to trade parts and it can be done well below $2000. My 1.7 I traded for a 1.325 Cobra (shipping), traded SnoX shocks and hardware for Fett XCountry shocks and hardware (shipping). Added a wheel kit, Jets, Clutch Kit from Speedwerx, and choke control. Its pretty simple, but honestly I have YET to dial in the jetting to where I like it… My vote: SP500… Taperking on HCS as a nice, nice 500 for sale.
LOL CRF450 I also have an etech 600 and it’s just the opposite of yours. Rides great and I’m 280# fuel mileage it always 15-20, 1300 miles 1.5 gallons of oil and no broken parts.
I also have an 09 F8 SP which gets decent mileage 14-15 is just as fast as the etech 600, uses way more oil and continues to break the seat parts.
Point being they all have issues and if you don’t believe that take your hand out of your pants and quit touching yourself.
We have pushed the manufactures to over produce and over price the current products. We demand the latest and greatest all the time. So R&D, tooling costs and way too many choices have driven the prices out of this world. Now Cat takes a step back and it’s the end of the world.
Don’t worry though these problems will never get any better with this society.
AC is being smart this year. 2012 is a big year for Cat and also pollution/emmissions standards. So why not spend one more yr on R and D to develop the next platforms. With the new standards due next year, there’s going to be some new engines, so why try and put them into old platforms. No, spend the time to develop new engines that go in new platforms and come out with it when it is needed, in 2012. The current line up may be getting a little old, but they still run with the best of the other 3 manufacturers. Sure, AC is harder on oil, but that’s one reason why Skidon’t are having engine blowups and piston meltdowns….lack of oil. That is why they remapped last yr and oil consumption went from 100:1 to 70:1 after the remapping. Sure, I would have enjoyed seeing new platforms this year, but it makes much more sense to do it next year. These days, you have one chance to get it right…so take an extra yr to make sure. RIDE HARD!!!RIDE SAFE!!!
This is my first post, first off GREAT site!! and Thanks for those videos of Dan,D.J., and Roger from the I500 that just gets my competitive blood pumping. My Dad got the familys first snowmobile in 1974(1970 Sno-Jet 292) and my first sled that same season(1969 Sno-Jet 300) and as a FAMILY have been involved every season since. I ordered my first Cat in the fall of 1989 after riding with a local dealer that winter I had a 1987 Formula PLus and was very impressed with the CAT, so I did the pre-season order for my first Cat a 1990 650 Wildcat. I like to think of Cat as a personaly passionate company(what other company has engineers that started the company still RACING because of the love of what they do????). Ski-Doo and Yamaha are GIANT companies that are in our sport as a sideline, they have Good products but not passionate products. With that being said we (Cat riders) should respect the thinking of the company so it can survive the current economy, ie; the 2011 lineup that I think will help sell the left over inventory and put them in a GOOD position for their 50th season, on a personal not I have a freind that owns a BIG SkiDoo dealership and they still have NEW 2008 sleds on the floor and the DOO makes them order a certain amount of sleds no matter what they have left over thus driving DOWN the value of the entire brand. I think Cat has a much better business plan by making slight changes and using the pre-season ordering plans to help hold the value of the entire inventory thus keepng their dealers as healthy as possiable so when the economy comes back they will be in a VERY GOOD position to keep providing the products that WE are so passinate about. I am vey THANKFUL that Cat has people still in their company that were there in the begining and can now help guide them to the future. The CAT will survive! I cant wait for next season because I will be at my dealer with a deposit for MY 2011 SnoPro 500.
This is my first post ever. i love this site.i have been riding since 1978 started on my dads 1972 puma 399 and my moms suzuki 340 nomad. I BLEED CAT .I AM AN ACTIVE PERSON IN MY CLUB AND HAVE MARKED AND RAN A GROOMER.BEEN OUT WEST MANY TIMES AND UP IN NORTHERN MN MANY TIMES ALSO PLUS THIS YEAR RIGHT OUT MY BACK DOOR IN SOUHTERN MN. 3 WEEKS AGO 200 MILES ONE DAY DITCH AND TRAIL RIDING ON MY M 8 IN SOUTHERN MN. RODE TO WORK IN JACKSON MN. IN THE MORNING AND BACK TO ST .JAMES . I HAVE SEEN CAT FROM IT ALL. I REMEMBER THE DAY CAT WHEN UNDER I WONDERED WHAT I WOULD RIDE NEXT AND I WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL . THEN CAT CAME BACK AND NEVER WENT BACK . I HAVE RODE WITH THE LATE CJ DOWN HERE AND REMINISE ABOUT CAT ON THE 80’S AND TODAYS SLED AT THE TIME .HE SHOWED UP ON A 93 ZR580 AND AT THE TIME I HAD A NEW 93 700 WILDCAT EFI .WHAT A DIFFERENCE A SLED CHASSIS CAN MAKE. THAT SPRING I ORDERED A ZR 700 THAT WAS GREAT POWER AND A DITCH BANGER. AND ZR WINNING WAYS .AND HAVE BEEN A DITCH BANGER ALL MY LIFE.SO I WAS DIS APPOINTED IN THERE DECISION NOT TOO PUT A BIGGER MOTOR IN THE SP CHASSIS. BUT I DID GET TOO RIDE 2010 F8 SP AND FELT VERY GOOD. LIKE MY DEALER SAID ITS ALL IN SET UP.AND HOW YOU RIDE IT. I CAN REMEMBER GETTING MY LEGENDS BOOK AT THE MN STATE FAIR WHEN IT CAME OUT AND HAVE IT WORN OUT BY DECEMBER.THAT WINTER TOOK MY FOLKS TO THE CITIES AND FLEW OUT. I DROVE UP TO ALL SMALL SPEED SHOP IN HUGO CALLED PHATOM PERFORMANCE. AND GOT TO MEET JIM DIMMERMAN AND HAD HIM SIGN THE BOOK UNDER THE FAMOUS DOUBLE TROUBLE PICTURE. AND HAVE MEET EDGAR MANY TIMES OUT WEST AND UP AT THE SNOW SHOW AND BOUGHT HIS BOOK AND DVDS. I BLEED CAT AND WILL ALWAYS THEY ARE PEOPLE THAT NOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND HAVE SUCH A PASSION FOR THE SPORT.THAT NO OTHER FACTORY CAN A TEST TOO . THERE IS SUCH HISTORY UP AT THIEF RIVER FALLS THAT NO OTHER FACTORY CAN MATCH. AND THAT MEANS A LOT TO SEE ENGINEERS RIDING AND STILL DOOING IT THE OLD SCHOOL WAY OF IN THE SEAT ENGINEERING. BY THE WAY SABER CAT WILL BE GOING BYE BYE. AND THERE WILL BE A NEW CAT TO REPLACE IT. EITHER 2011 F6SP OR F8 SP WILL BE MARKED FOR US.
Just signed the contract for a crossfire 8 limited with the 2,25 inch power claw. Looking forward to next winter!
new is better right ? 800 m8 behind the curve? not ,did you vote for change?? well you got it ,hows that working for you? so a new machine every year ok, hows that 800 cc polaris engine working for you?? I HEAR THEY HAVE A GREAT WARRANTY !! I WILL wait for you to do the R&D on the 2011 polaris ,THANKS !! 2012 make it right test long and hard give us a great products. after all they are only around $12k ,2yrs later $5/6kkk or best offer on craigs list !!
Why do you have to change something that works. THey might look the same as in 2006 but a 2010 m8 or crossfire is a whole new animal.
I have been a loyal polaris fan for 23 years. I do trail work for dog sled races in Alaska. I have owned 3 polaris lx wide tracks. I put about 1200 miles per year on my sleds. Polaris is losing it fast! The new bearcat zi xt hands down is the best wide track on the market!
I just became a cat fan. SORRY polaris you just do not make sleds that will hold up to this man and the Ididarod trail.
If your halling, grooming our just out for a trail ride the bearcat is the one..
Bearcat 570 , Z1 ,..when is Cat going to come out with a 500 or 600 laydown engine for the Bearcat wide track .
Just traded my 2009 Skidoo 600 ETEC in for a 2010 Arctic Cat Z1 Turbo Sno Pro. I had excellent service from the etec with excellent fuel economy and it is a very nimble machine. I could have purchased a 800 etec or the 1200 4-stroke. However, the reason I made the change to the Z1 was because it is much more comfortable to ride and I like the AC 4-stroke and the Cat graphics. I do wish the Z1 got better fuel economy (I’m only getting roughly 10 mpg).
The release date for the M8 is march 5th. New chassis 35 pounds lighter direct injection engine with 170+ hp. Its sapposed to change sledding like cat and doo did in 03 with the firecat and the rev

Hey Guys (& Gals). Just signed up and I wanted to
say hello. A lot boards seem a little “cliquey” for n00bz
but this one does not. Hope to learn a lot while I am here!
I have an 08 m8 and a brand new 2011 m8 the 08 has 5000 miles on it and i have never even put a plug in it, my buddy ran an 07 Rev he spent 6500 dollars since he bought it to keep it running what a piece of **** and to all of u who say arctic cat changed nothing in the 2011 model year, go ride an 08 done up like i have and then ride a bone stock 2011 with just a stinger on it and tell me there’s no difference bull****, i could pull my 08 over the hill with my 2011 that has more done to it and they also did change, the tunnel is different the suspension is lighter the attack angle of the track is different and the h.o. motor holy **** does it go. And not to mention lighter, better seat, suspension even feels firmer and more comfortable. Just thought i would share that and yes arctic cat is the best the motors last forever thank u suzuki for this battery less fuel injected beast.
Just thought I’d add my two cents. I’ve always been Arctic Cat rider, but 2012 brings in new thought process. Lowest priced Cat MSRP $9,995. Furthermore, not everyone wants an 800 or 1000+cc engine. What happend to the 500-600 Liquid cooled sleds. Ski-doo has the only 600, which is more than sufficent for almost all sledding. Ya I like speed like the next guy, but fuel prices and costs to enjoy my sport of choice, just keep soring.
Ski-Doo 600 at 25-28 MPG, is awfull attractive, but I still have to ride my 96 550 Piston port sled because there MSRP is not any better than ther rest.
Thought prices would stay flat but thats deffinetly not the case.
That’s perfect that we are able to get the credit loans and this opens new opportunities.

Impotent gents never experienced it so good. Viagra pioneered the oral therapy for Impotence Problems. And the baton, it appears, has become transferred to Cialis. In between, Levitra also produced its existence felt. But Cialis would be the upcoming drug which has the whole world on its ft.
We’re glad you like it… and we’re delighted the wednaring dogs amused you… Funny thing to us is that we’ve always got so many dogs around we don’t even notice… Something I did notice in editing is that there is some snow on Allen’s sled runners (because we had just brought it inside) which, If you watch closely over the course of the series, you will see slowly melt… Our talk lasted a total of 45 minutes, so that may give you an idea of how cold it is in our shop despite being “inside”!…
