I’m going to have to make up there. Its about a 3 hour ride for me. I want to ride a XF. Hopefully they will add a date in Munising too.
Thats me on the far left of the picture getting ready to ride a XF1100 Sno Pro.
Where is the 800 two stroke. Do not have any want to ride a 4 ton, I mean 4 stroke.
I can see your trailer on the John Dee trail cam…
They didn’t have any of the 800’s all 1100 non-turbos. I rode a XF1100 SP very suprised in how light it felt easy to throw around the trail. Impressed with the power as well seeing it was the non turbo. I could see one of these in my future.
No 800 two stroke!!? Or 1100T!? Performance oriented buyers from other brands are never going to be swayed by the sleds they have available. This also makes me think Cat will phase out 2 strokes (say it ain’t so!), but I could be wrong on that one.
Took the Xf1100 and F 1100 for a ride in south range. It convinced me enough to consider buying one for my next sled
I took a XF1100 sno pro and a XF1100 lxr. I couldn’t get use to the engine braking. They both rode well. The sno pro was more my style, but the rear was stiff.
We stopped and talked to the guys. I wanted to see if Dan Glucky was there.
They looked to have a good turnout. We love our new 1100 na’s. Sandberg , have you had a chance to ride yet ?
I love how people get all crazy when cat doesnt show up with 165 hp 800’s or 180hp turbos. Have anyone of you ever heard of INSURANCE?!?!?! i dont blame them. The NA is fast enough. Not knock it untill you have tried it. John was right, the 1100 na is the most improved sled.
Please join us at this very same location Wednesday January 25th for our 3rd annual Thomas Sno Sports demo ride. No snow here in central MN has us relocating here. This one day only…we’ll be bringing our 2012 XF 800s and 2012 F 800s, plus our 2012 F 1100 Turbo Sno Pro, a Sno Pro 500 and the rest of our 2012 demo units. For this one day only the riding format is different, we will be on a continuous day of trail riding leaving at 9am and returning around 4pm. We’ll be trading sleds at various increments and hopefully everyone gets to try many of the new models. A lunch stop at your expense, etc. Ride is free and all experienced riders on any brand are welcome, but, preregistration is absolutely required so we have an accurate head count. Even though we have the big iron with us we will be strictly following all laws and safe driving practices as outlined above. Further details can be found at our events page http://www.thomassnosports.com/calendar.php . Contact us at arctic@bctelco.net or 320-556-3467 to pre-register. Please join us!
Took one of the Demo’s for a ride on Sunday, the XF. I really like the feel of the chassis and how rigid it is. The the 1100 is a good power plant in this format of a demo ride because it allows you to concentrate on ride of the chassis.
For me, the new chassis felt good and I liked the ergos better than my 07 Crossfire. I will say though that I was a bit disappointed in the lack of arc that the skis make when turning the bars from lock to lock. Even my 07 CF seems to have a bit more, but with out measuring it it is hard to tell. The doo XP is much better in this area. Having skis that turn sharper would make picking your way through the trees in the bush much easier, and tighten up the turning radius a bunch. On regular trail rides this is not a factor.
