You name it, and it was at Hay Days: snowmobiles, racers, races, ATVs, legends, fans, winter, summer, mud, food, greatness, grossness, old car tires and more.
It is an amalgamation of nearly everything that touches any aspect of snowmobiling, with just enough weirdness.
Because…Hay Days.
The 1pm new-sled unveiling is always a big draw in the Arctic Cat booth. Two heavily re-worked ZR 6000R race sleds were the new machines this year.
The Team Arctic poster signing is always a hit. Incredible team, awesome people.
Team Arctic legends, Joey Hallstrom (L) and Brad Pake. Still smiling.
Speedwerx has some extra horsepower and cool stuff for the new ZR 200.
L-to-R: Speedwerx’s Steve Houle, and Team Arctic’s Mike Kloety, Kelland Bjerke and Jeff Wittwer. Lots of coversations about the upcoming race season for this crew.
Zach Herfindahl’s 2017 USXC I-500-winning race sled, looking bitchin’ as ever.
World champion P.J. Wanderscheid (L) with world’s most awesome Roger Skime.
Grass drag racing was the original big-draw. Still love the action, and Arctic Cat kicked ass (again), winning 11 of 20 classes.
Because…Hay Days.
The swap: it’s still the best entertainment you’ll find, and a source of continual wonderment.
The downside of too much tail-standing.
Because…Hay Days.
Yep! Because…Hay Days.
Thanks for watching.
Great photo’s John! Looks like there was something for everyone!
Featured non-snowmobile item for 2017………… shotgun shell re-loader.
I hope it was a MEC shell re-loader….
mopars&cats, Yes, I saw three of them. They all were from Mayville Engineering Company!
Another great year at Hay Days!
Drove up from Fort Worth for another great time at Hay Days. Walked the entire swap with Leubner, bought a bunch of cool stuff including an 80’s Cat Clothing clock for the shop.
Somehow got lucky and missed you at the Cat booth while checking out the new hardware and race sleds, but had an awesome chat with Don Eidie.
Tom Rowland had a sweet 2017 ZR600 RS demo on display. He is a bad influence. Very, very bad influence ;>)
Can’t wait for next year… -JDJR
