YESSSSSSSSSS!!! Ill be there with my 76 Pantera! Been interested in the new Blast. Would look nice next to my 2016 ZR 600. Thank you AC for coming to Minnesota.
Thanks Kale for sharing. I’m more excited for this event than I’ve ever been. And Minneapolis is getting fresh snow right now!!! Look forward to riding Blast.
Anyone reading this riding their vintage sled to ERX? With fresh snow I’m torn whether to ride 88 Eltigre or new Riot? Comin from Mayer.
Everyone I know respects the great event that this always was at the former Waconia location, and at the same time is delighted to see this move to the north metro at the famed ERX location! What a great event to debut the all-new Blast at for those of us in Minnesota and the Midwest! Looking forward to this!
I went to the event today and rode all three Blast models. (Two laps around the track, maybe a five minute total ride. As fast as we wanted to go, basically, with lots of jumps and turns.)
GREATLY IMPRESSED! The motor is stronger than I thought it would be. very little vibration. Terrific torque right off idle and very smooth power delivery.
The machines had no problem keeping up with the bigger sleds. 0 to 40 mph acceleration has more to do with traction than with engine.
Now, on the whoops the suspension was bottoming out.
I’m 6 feet 200 lbs. I was driving pretty aggressively. I did not notice how much preload the suspension had.
My favorite was the mountain sled. It took me a bit of time to get used to the handling of the sled (it sure rolls side to side easy) but the motor and suspension were a hoot.
Very nice engine and sled AC.
Midwest Vintage Snowmobiles Shows, Inc was very honored to have the new Cats on site for all of us to get a chance to ride the 2021’s. I think it went over very well and for some it was a chance to get on that awesome looking truck racing track at ERX. It was fun to see Cats on site from the early 60’s right up to next years new ones.
Thanks to all at Cat and supporting dealers for making this happen. Special thanks to Thomas Sno Sports and Tom Rowland who has always been a huge supporter of the Midwest Ride-In.
