This video caught my eye this week…Team Arctic Transition 8-10 snocross racer, Tristian Hinton, visited Arctic Cat and shared an inside look at his Factory tour, led by one of my favorite longtime Arctic Cat employees, Shannon Gunderson. The chemistry and powersports passion shared between the two as they bounced around the snowmobile production lines was incredible, and genuine. Nice job Tristian on the edit, and for anyone interested, you can follow Tristian here: Hinton Motorsports.
Cool, he’s probably about the age my daughter did the Tour . And was in the Race Shop, also. It was probably one of my better tours. So many people showed up that day. They had to break the tour into, two groups. So they had a young guy off the line do our group. Think I learn more from him on that tour than the other Tours I did. He also explained the adjustments . From moving from Chicago to small town Theif River Falls. By the time he got to Theif & moved in. He said he was pretty much cash strapped. So he walked over to the Plant . To check everything out . Ask the receptionist about public transit .They don’t have one. So she dug into her purse and grabbed her car keys and some cash for him. Told him to pay her back when he has the extra cash. He explained that he was dumbfounded . Because in Chicago nobody would do that. As he was driving to the grocery store. He kept looking in the mirrors for the police ! He figured he was going to get pulled over for stealing a car ! Lol
Does Gunner have a dip in? Wait….dumb question. LMAO
Toured the factory back in the 90s when I was a kid. Tiger Shark was still in production lol. Was amazed how swift the ladies where putting on decals and perfect every time.
kawcat, The guy from the Plant that did our tour. Gave credit to the decal ladies ! I didn’t know that every time they come off from break . They can switch with somebody else. On the assembly line for a different job. He said the two jobs he won’t do . Where The decals because he screwed them up every time. And welding. Because you have to wear pants ! No shorts .
