Follow 3 Old Guys Ride Across North America Facebook Page
In December of 2022, the “3 Old Guys ride to Alaska” Facebook page was formed with the intent of documenting milestones and check-ins for family and friends as Rob Hallstrom, Paul Dick, and Rex Hibbert rode their Arctic Cat snowmobiles from Grand Rapids, Minnesota to Fairbanks, Alaska in March of 2023. As they prepared for the adventure, their page grew in interest. By the end of their ~5,000 mile trek this page had grown to >38k followers and there was no question, these three humble men who were out for an adventure had become modern day explorers. In the coming weeks, we will take the time to recap what that journey encompassed and the many experiences that came along with it – from snowmobile fires to welcoming communities. CLICK TO READ HERE
While that journey was unforgettable, it’s no surprise these three struggle to stay still. Within a few months, they were already planning their next adventure. A route was quickly established and the Guys were set to go, but the 2024 winter season had other plans and with too little snow, the trip was canceled.
As we welcome 2025, the 3 Old Guys are ready to keep the adventures alive, while they may not be getting any younger, the journey is far from over. We’re excited to officially announce the 2025 plan: a new chapter in their travels across North America. This time, the 3 Old Guys will be heading east roughly 4,000 miles from Grand Rapids, Minnesota to Newfoundland’s east coast riding Arctic Cat 600 Catalyst snowmobiles.
With this shift, we will also be updating our Facebook page name from “3 Old Guys Ride to Alaska” to “3 Old Guys Ride Across North America” to reflect the ongoing adventure.
Many things could go wrong, starting with a continued lack of snow in the Midwest states, but we remain optimistic.
