This weekend marks the 49th running of the Soo International 500 enduro in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.
Team Arctic racers are there in full force, with a fleet of mod ZR 6000R race sleds powered by Speedwerx-built Arctic Cat C-TEC2 EFI engines.
Will this be the third year that Cat wins this big one?
The 231 sled of Ben Langaas and Lance Efteland.
Christian Brothers Racing/Arctic Cat have two teams: one of Zach Herfindahl, Wes Selby and Brian Dick; and a second team of Ryan Trout and Re Wadena.
2009 Soo winning Cadarette Racing will be in the hunt again this year with Troy Dewald.
The Cadarette Collision team of Troy Dewald (and Ryan Spencer) won the Thurs. Night Woody’s Challenge. They’re sitting on the pole for tomorrow’s big show.
Here’s the line-up for the Soo 500 on Saturday. Good luck to all the teams and racers!
Good luck to all Team Arctic drivers this year. May Cat kick some butt this weekend in every race venue across North America (US & Canada). Will the race be broadcasted via live streaming?
I can remember waiting all day Saturday to hear the hourly updates of this race on WJR radio years ago. This winter classic ranked right up there as listening to the Indy 500 on the radio before that race was broadcast live on TV.
I wonder if a Soo-500 special would be a good seller. I’d be first in line.
Love those spindles in the last picture!
The Langaas sled is strikingly good looking in person….giver the onion boys!
Great to see Bunke Racing..and Polaris.. in Victory Lane..Again..
@G Lee…it was great to see Bunke Racing in Victory lane for the first time all year…
