We’re nearly a month away from the Arctic Cat 60th Homecoming Collectors Show in Thief River Falls, Mn (July 15-16). After looking over the incredible list of display units that will be at the show, I started thinking about what I should bring as eye candy for the ArcticInsider display…
It hit me this weekend while drinking a beer in the garage and staring at the ceiling – The show, and deadline, are the perfect excuses to dust off a few projects that have been (literally) shelved and sitting right in front of me. They’ll be small enough to transport easily and are great conversation pieces. BOOM!
The first is a KITTY CAT MOD – I have owned this snowmobile for nearly 20yrs and it is one unit I have kept in my possession longer than any other powersports toy Ive ever owned. It’s gone through varying running forms and tinkering stages over my period of ownership and was shelved during the middle of its restoration 5yrs ago due to a house move. Time to complete the vision of turning it into a 76 Sno Pro racer…
The second project is my 73 GRASSCAT SWAP MEET WAGON. You can read more about the build HERE, which started as a full restoration project with my son, but quickly derailed after realizing the amount of money needed to return this to its grass cutting glory days. Instead, we went a different direction…Hopefully we’ll be pulling some ice cold beers from it at the show…
