At the close of last week, Arctic Cat launched a new sales promotion dubbed the Green Track Sales Event. While details on the program are not yet available on the website, dealers should have received intel shortly after we got word. What we do know is that from now until December 28, 2024, qualified dealers will be able to offer consumer-facing rebates ranging from $500 to $3,500 on eligible snowmobile models. This event includes over 50 models, from youth to full-sized, including the Blast series, multiple ZR options, and mountain sleds. For more information and additional terms and conditions, contact your local Arctic Cat dealer.
So glad I just sold my 021. I probably would’ve had to lower the price even more. Then I already did to move it. Now that this program is out. It’s great for new sled buyers. But kills the used market that’s already horrible.
When do the 2025 atv/utv’s get released?
They’re already out. All you have to do is look at the 2024 models and imagine different graphics. There’s your 2025 models.
Good question, they had announced the release was going to be in August.
“By the time we actually release our next offroad lineup, we can probably just label them 2026s,” we were told. We also know that many ATV/UTV offroad engineers were laid off by Textron over the spring and summer.

Nothing here on ArcticInsider regarding the furloughs (the term used in the press release, which from my personal experience is different than a layoff); thought for sure there would be specifics here to allay concerns by the Faithful that Textron has no plans to hang the closed for business sign, fully supports Cat, and maybe provide a glimpse at future snow & dirt products.
Waiting for the big intro rollout of the Wildcat XX Turbo, and 4 seater…
The ones they had on display at the dealer show in 2017?
Right!
Sad news out of TRF today…
Reports that textron let go over half of Arctic Cats engineering staff.
Yeah. Till after the new year. The unsold inventory needs to be bled down, mostly Polaris. I see half full, you have no clue
Wrong as usual. They fired the engineers, and product testers. The announcement even says they will be helping them find new jobs elsewhere.
It also says the factory will be shut down after MY 25 sleds are done. It says they “expect to resume production in Q1 2025” which is purposely vague.
Any chance Argo is interested? Hard to see what textron is working towards, if they aren’t investing in the dirt side at all.
What did Joe Diffie sing about??? what color was on the water tower
I would think that they would find something else to make during downtime also, They must be making motors because you hear nothing about St Cloud motor plant in layoffs ???
AC only builds 3 engines now, the 600 and 858 sled engines, and the 600 atv engine. Sled production is done, and they have a ton of left-over atvs sitting around, so you wouldn’t think St Cloud would be doing much.
I can’t see John Deere being interested in purchasing AC. They already have a bigger dealer network, and larger line up of SXS.
Argo would be the best, for AC, but Textron has turned them down a couple times in the past.
It really sucks that textron has destroyed the dealer network, and AC’s market share/sales numbers, but here we are
It has certainly been a slow and agonizing spiral with the E-Z-Go morons at the helm. At least Irv The Liquidator’s destruction was swift, and they were able to re-group after “Gone Fishing”. This is downright pitiful.
An Argo/Arctic merger or buyout would be awesome. The legends can return!!!
I was all Gung ho with this Argo thing also, until I stopped by their booth at haydays and 4 Argo guys told me snowmobiles are a good business NOT to be in.
Seems like the snomo rags have already written Cat off for dead.
None of them have posted anything about Cat’s 2025 sleds while they continue to numerous articles on Polaris, Ski Doo, and Lynx models.
