ROX Speed FX has been a longtime supporter of this website, and our friendship dates back to their humble beginnings in 1999. Although this isn’t an Arctic Cat build, the talented crew there has built many magazine-worthy custom Arctic Cat’s over the years.
On top of that, Im just a sucker for anything custom built with out of the box thinking, vision and well executed fabrication. This hot rod checks all those boxes for me.
Brede DeSchepper, is the owner of this custom, and is also one of the many skilled employees at ROX. It was well over a year ago that I first laid eyes on this project in its beginning stages. Seeing it then, the proportions looked so right as the 32 Ford roadster body was just resting on the Polaris XLT chassis.
IMO, the best hot rods are ones built with pieces the owner already has, are easily sourced, or are cheap to modify. That was the case here as Brede had, and started with, a Polaris XLT. Its hard to deny the sound of a triple-cylinder engine singing through a custom exhaust.
After seeing the 32 Ford Roadster body from XXXXXXX, Brede’s wheels started turning to build a “snowmobile” that would grab attention at shows, and would be a definite head turner on a classic snowmobile ride. He started taking measurements on the sled and comparing to the body.
Is there more to this article? Seems like a teaser for more.
