I woke up early this morning, intent to write a story about a fantastic snowmobile ride I enjoyed with some friends a few days ago. I thought that would be a perfect first post of 2014.
But every time I started to write about the ride, I kept thinking about this place. And by “place,” I mean ArcticInsider.
I launched this website in the summer of 2009. It was an experiment of sorts. It still is, actually.
I won’t bore you with the play-by-play of all that’s happened here during the ensuing 4.5 years, other than to say this: I’m entirely grateful for the amazing people, machines and experiences that I’m able to write about, and for all of you who stop by here to read about them.
I think of ArcticInsider not so much as a website, but as a connection between people who are passionate about the sport they love. Thanks for being part of that energy… that family.
This morning, I raise my coffee cup to the New Year. Wherever you are on the trail of life, and no matter where your tracks go, I sincerely wish you the best now and in the adventure that awaits.
Happy New Year.
