Oh man, 2017 started out better than I could imagine, with a 140 mile snowmobile ride on Minnesota’s North Shore State Trail with friends.
Either this is going to be the best year ever, or it’s all downhill from here?
Regardless, winter is alive and well in Minnesota’s arrowhead region.
We rode from Beaver Bay to Lutsen, where we fueled up the sleds and our bodies, then returned. The trails were decent throughout, and actually very good the further north we rode.
If you’re contemplating a trip up here, don’t hesitate! It’s worth it and you’ll be glad you went.
Enjoy.
LOVE charging up the F-150 at the Tesla dock prior to departure.
LOVE seeing this while driving to a ride destination.
Love the last pic nothing beats a smooth night ride with heated grips and shield
Now is the time to ride in northern MN. Just finished plowing the driveway…again. Another 4-8 predicted tonight around Bemidji, MN. trails and ditches are the best we have had in at least 3 years, and it is only New Years…..get out and ride!
Love the photos and the article. And the fact that my wife made the website on her white XF! It was definitely a great weekend with great snow. And yes if you are contemplating heading up it’s worth it.
Looks very nice. Where did you all unload, John?
I want to wish everyone at Arctic Cat Happy New Year!
Thanks for doing such a great job.
John,
When are you going to do a write up of that sweet 6000 you are running? You should do an arcticinsider raffle and sell tickets to give that bad boy away at the end of the season…
My group stayed at the AmericInn in Silver Bay and rode out of Finland Kevin Koehler.
