It’s that time of year again…the classic Open House event at Arctic Cat dealerships.
Where the combination of great conversation, great displays and great deals produce the perfect shot of preseason ether to ignite our passion for the coming season.
Take for example the upcoming Open House at Country Cat in Sauk Centre, on Oct. 3:
In addition to a full display of 2016 Arctic Cat snowmobiles, Wildcats, ATVs and Prowlers, plus great deals and special pricing on pretty much everything in their inventory, they’ll ALSO have a vintage sled display from 10 am – 2 pm; Team Arctic Pro Sno-Cross racer Logan Christian from Christian Brothers signing autographs all day (plus the Christian Brothers race hauler on display); and factory reps from Arctic Cat!
These are all good reason’s why I’ll be there, but the main one is because of the energy that will flow through this and other dealership open houses.
Chances are good that the air will have a certain crispness to it.
I will hear the sound of engines started, with the accompanying exhaust smell.
There will be conversations with friends old and new. Stories will be shared about great rides past, and plans will be made for future ones. There will be laughter.
Open Houses have evolved over the nearly 40 years I can remember going to them. They used to be the first time you’d see the new sleds, the only place you’d see the snowmobile movies/commercials playing. If it was a dealership that sponsored a racer, you MIGHT get to see a real race sled.
Of course we take all these things for granted nowadays, because they’re available to us at the click of a mouse or at any dozen of events.
But there is something decidedly unique and special about a dealership open house. It’s more relaxed, more conversational.
I hope you enjoy Open House season as much as I do. Maybe I’ll see you at one?
Thanks for reading.
