Pat Mach Family Auction of Arctic Cat Machines (and More)

Pat Mach Arctic Cat auction July 2015

For fans of Arctic Cat snowmobiles interested in scoring any number of sweet (and historically significant) machines, a trip to Minto, ND, on July 11 will afford the chance to get a deal.

The snowmobiles, ATVs, trailers and pickups are up for bid by the Pat Mach family who, four years after Pat’s untimely death, are now parsing the collection.

In addition to owning and running the USCC cross-country race circuit, Pat Mach was a hardcore Arctic Cat aficionado with a penchant for finding some really sweet sleds.

For instance, there’s a trio of 1976, 1977 and 1979 Arctic Cat Cross-Country Cats; a 1988 650 Wildcat; three 1971 Panthers and my personal object of desire: an original 1993 ZR440.

Plus there are ATVs, a Prowler, trailers, truck, car and more. I have a sneaking suspicion there will be a bunch of snowmobile and race people gathering in Minto for this event, so I’d expect it to be a pretty ripe occasion for some fun bench racing.

Handling the auction will be Mach family friend and longtime snowmobile race promoter Scott Schuster. Scott will make this event fun for everyone involved.
