USCC To Race As Scheduled

With the recent passing of USCC founder and President Pat Mach, there are obvious questions regarding the future of the USCC. The USCC is a family organization with those closest to Mach playing key roles in making the races happen each weekend. The Mach family would like racers and fans to know that the decision has been made to race as scheduled and continue to operate the USCC for the foreseeable future.

The Mach family has issued a statement regarding the decision:

“There are no easy decisions at this point, but we know Pat would not want any races to be cancelled or for the USCC to stop operations. Pat loved snowmobiles and cross-country racing and we’re going to go racing in his honor.”

The Chase On The Lake Walker 100 will go down as scheduled, February 13, 2011. Racers should have their registrations into the USCC office by Wednesday, February 9, 2011. One of Mach’s many duties was Race Director.

In his absence, Jesse Strege has agreed to serve as interim Race Director.

“The Mach family and I talked about me helping with the races soon after Pat’s passing,” said Strege. “I told them I would be honored. It’s the least I can do to help out.”
