I’m thankful for the sheer thrill of ditch banging on my snowmobile (although I prefer groomed trails).
I’m thankful for the corner-carving excellence of this rider-forward snowmobile design.
I’m thankful I don’t wear a scarf.
And I’m thankful it’s Friday, October 24, 2014.
That guy looks like a tall Larry Coltom!!!
This picture reminds me of my dad telling me that he and a buddy of his did the same thing to a hand sled when they were kids – this would probably be back in the 1930’s. He said they whittled a propeller out of a 2 x 4, bolted it to a Briggs and Stratton engine, and rode it up and down the river on the ice. He also said it’s a wonder they didn’t kill themselves with such a crude contraption!
Was that the first dual-runner skeg?
What a nice journal of the trip. I felt like I was right there. That ferry tfsraner would have made me nervous too Those kids will have great memories.PS: When referring to the neighbors as in the past tense, note that stating old connected to my name makes me shudder:)Cathy
