Shown here at the recent USCC Red Lake 200 cross-country race is Team Arctic’s D.J. Ekre, literally piloting an Arctic Cat Sno Pro 500 in the Expert 85 class (which he won). The short clip clearly illustrates why Ekre is one of the fastest cross-country racers in the world.
D.J. is the second of the two racers to come through.
That is insane!
This isn’t him on his 500, this was filmed during the Pro 600 race. I was standing right there when this was filmed. You can hear the guy on the radio talking about the sled that burned to the ground during the Expert 85 race, which I was in.
No this one was filmed during the 500 class, the guy talking about the 500 class was Ryan Greening who went out early due to fire.. I filmed there all day..
If someone is faster than DJ Ekre on a Sno Pro 500, then they are the only ones who should be requesting a 600 or 800 motor in that chassis!
Well, considering D.J. hit that drop off at approx 40-45mph and landed where he did, maybe it should be made clear that he wasn’t even close to pushing that sled to its limits in this vid clip, so seriously, why request a larger engine?
