Towards the end of November, I shared two documents for those of you looking to retrofit or tune an ADAPT clutch. Ive updated that original story with two new Charts which include information on 7000-models. Those new charts are shared below, but you can also READ THE ORIGINAL STORY HERE which includes some engineering notes. -Kale
Thank you Kale, and thank you Arctic Cat. Now, if we could find out if there are any more 4 strokes in the future………………..( not really expecting an answer for a while)
Thats an easy question to answer yes to…
They yamaha deal was never intended to last forever.
The problem is the 7000 never sold very well, and honestly there isn’t anything the 6000 doesn’t do better
Never worried about ice scratchers with my 7000. Haven’t had a 2stroke in the fleet since an 07 f6. I will this year with a 23 6000. I’m sure I won’t be disappointed as they’re not the same animal as the Smokey 600 I remember but if I could have gotten a 7000 this year I would have. Excited to see if my opinion changes after this year.
Did someone say 7000 ?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
I’m not saying it has to be the Yami 1049, but a viable 4 stroke. I’ll likely never own another 2 stroke, and if Cat doesn’t offer one, others do. I’ve owned plenty of 2 strokes, and have had decent luck with most of them, but at the end of the day, of the well over 100,000 miles I’ve ridden, I’ve never seen a blown up 4 stroke, not one. I have heard online stories of modded ones blowing. Can’t say that about the others. I’ve used the tow rope many times.
Krom, here in WI. Dealers we’re practically giving the 7000 away. I got one of the 1st ones . Was going to set it up to race . After finding out how heavy & low HP it was . I didn’t both. Took me 2yrs to find a sucker to buy it. Russ, you must be taking about A/C 4-strokes. I know of, a quite a few of the competitions. 4-strokes that had the optional tow rope on the front . Most of them now ride 2-strokes.
I took the clutch upgrade for my 21 Riot and have been quite happy with it. Being not too picky about anything snowmobile-related, even I could notice a difference – much smoother.
